Repainting the Axles and Springs

After etching and prepping the new chassis, it was time to turn my attention to the axles and springs. These components, often overlooked, play a crucial role in the vehicle’s performance and aesthetics. Repainting them was not just about enhancing their appearance, but also about ensuring their longevity and resilience.

The two front springs were from a Diesel model, so these were replaced with the correct type, but the rear springs could be recommissioned and then rust protected. New bushes will make a more comfortable ride, whilst new brake pads will go a long way to stop.

This marks a turning point, as things are going ON rather than coming OFF
